FROG TIME

Okay Anglers! It's time to get out the heavy equipment and the braid. Now this subject is tough to talk about because theres a thin line when it comes to picking which type of frog is the right one to use. Now when it comes to using the "HOLLOW BODY FROG" I like to use a 6'6" to 7' med-hvy to heavy rod and 65lbs braid for these frogs. When I throw a "TOAD" for example (Zoom Horny Toad) I like to use the same equipment set up for these also. When throwing the hollow body frog you must make sure to have slack line when your trying to walk the bait. It takes practice to get the rhythm down, trust me I know. It took me about six months of practicing to get it down. It's kinda like fishing a spook or top water walking bait but its a little slower. I like to throw this bait in the grass or on the edge of the grass. When it come to throwing the toad since its like a buzzbait I like to throw in and around pretty much anything. I will throw this lure into a tree lap (lay down) just like a jig. When retrieving it I will hit every branch and limb I can. Now don't be afraid to throw any of these lures in open water.
