Today I was thinking about my lure presentations. And I have come to the conclusion that you always need to try new retrieve speeds when your lure is in the water not what your fishing. Say if your fishing a "Shakey Head" there are many different ways to fish this lure. You can drag it about a six inches and then shake the slack line, or you can just drag it. Say your fishing a "Crankbait" you can fish it with a normal speed of the reel, or you can speed it up, or you can reel it real fast and stop it. Now just because its a crankbait you can also fish it steady and give it a little jerk now and again. When your fishing a crankbait your looking for that reaction strike so do whatever you can to cause the fish to hit. Say your fishing a "Spinnerbait" try the same thing as the crankbait because there a again your looking for that reaction strike.
